Michael F. Donohue of Hallstead, Pa.

Michael F. Donohue, 57, Hallstead, Pa., passed away November 27, 2000, at home. He was born June 12, 1943 in Susquehanna, Pa., and was the son of Anastasia "Daisy" Graf Donohue, Hallstead, and the late Richard J. Donohue. Michael is survived by his wife of 24 years, Marie L. Helman Donohue: two sons, Patrick M. Donohue, Laurel, Md., Timothy C. Donohue, Hallstead, Pa.; his Godmother, Patricia Donohue, Binghamton: his siblings, Susan and Carman Chimento, Brookline, N.H., Sarah and Robert Burke, Newbern, N.C., Terrance Donohue, New Milford, Pa., an uncle, Harold Beavan, Johnson City; a sister-in-law, Sally Donohue, Hallstead, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and special lifelong friends, Kenneth Decker, Thor Melnyk and Carl "Jack" Tanner. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul. Michael was a 1961 graduate of Blue Ridge High School. He graduated from Penn State in 1965 and was commissioned an Army 2nd Lieutenant through the ROTC program. He served in Korea from 1966 to 1967. He was a member of American Legion Post 357 and VFW Post 6223. He was a former Director of Old Mill Village, an auditor for Hallstead Borough, served on the Hallstead-Great Bend Sewer Authority, and was captain of the Donohue Ceramics bowling team. He was employed by the Defense Contract Audit Agency from 1968 until 1998. Funeral services will be at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, Pa., Thursday, November 30, 2000, at 9:30 a.m., and at 10 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, Great Bend, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by the Reverend John Kulavich. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive callers on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
